Referral Program Terms & Conditions

The Sparrow Referral Program (“The Program“) allows referrers to earn Amazon gift cards (“Rewards“) by referring hosts to Sparrow Living Inc. (“Sparrow”).

To participate, any referrer must agree to these terms, which become part of the Sparrow Terms of Service. Capitalized terms that are not defined here will have the same meaning given to them in the Sparrow Terms of Service.

How to Earn Referral Rewards

Referrers can earn Rewards if: (i) a referred host creates a valid Sparrow account that complies with our Terms of Service; and (ii) the referred host signs a Boarding Agreement to rent out at least one Bedroom to a registered Sparrow housemate. The referred Sparrow host may not already be a registered Sparrow Member. Only one Reward is earned per host referred, regardless of the number of housemates in a booking.

The Referrer will be credited with Rewards in the form of a $100 Amazon Gift Card to be sent to the referrer by e-mail. Sparrow will work with the Referrer in good faith to determine the appropriate e-mail to share the Reward to. The maximum Rewards per Referrer will be $1,000 CAD* (or its local equivalent*** if we support it), unless indicated otherwise.

Redeeming Sparrow Rewards

Sparrow will contact the Referrer at the Phone Number provided once a referred host signs a Boarding Agreement to rent out at least one Bedroom to a registered Sparrow housemate. Sparrow will work in good faith to obtain the Referrer’s appropriate e-mail address to send the Reward. If for any reason you believe that there is a discrepancy regarding your Rewards, please contact us at hello@sparrowshare.com. Sparrow may require you to submit additional information in order to determine Rewards payout. All decisions regarding Rewards will be final and at Sparrow’s sole discretion.

The Referrer is responsible for any Tax consequences, if any, that may result from acquiring or use of Rewards.

Multiple Referrals

A Referrer may refer multiple hosts to Sparrow. 

Severability

If any provision in these terms are held to be invalid, void, or unenforceable, such provision (or the part of it that is making it invalid, void or unenforceable) will be struck and not affect the validity of and enforceability of the remaining provisions.

Termination and Changes

Sparrow may suspend or terminate the Referral Program or any person’s ability to participate in the Referral Program at any time for any reason.

We reserve the right to suspend accounts or withhold Rewards if we notice any activity that we believe is abusive, fraudulent, or in violation of the Sparrow Terms of Service. We reserve the right to review and investigate all referral activities and to suspend accounts or modify referrals in our sole discretion as deemed fair and appropriate.

Updates to the Terms

We can update these terms at any time without prior notice. If we modify these terms, we will post the modification on the Sparrow website, applications, or services, which are effective upon posting. Continued participation in the Referral Program after any modification shall constitute consent to such modification.
